Remember every word in any language. We'll time every review and fill in every card.
repeat.cards is a flashcard app for language learners. spaced repetition picks the moment you'd forget. AI turns each word into a full card — audio, example sentence, mnemonic, image. You bring the words. We do the rest.
No credit card. Works on any browser. Also on Google Play.

The core idea
The problem isn't memorizing words. It's reviewing them at the right time.
Review a word too early and you waste time on something you still know. Review it too late and you've already forgotten it. The forgetting curve is real, and beating it takes precise timing — not flashier flashcards.
repeat.cards uses spaced repetition — an open algorithm built on the latest forgetting-curve research — to pick the moment each card is most useful to see again. Every card is scheduled in both directions, with separate tracking for word→translation and translation→word. AI fills in the parts you'd otherwise skip: the example sentence, the audio, the memory hook. Your job is to type the word.

FSRS spaced repetition, both directions
We schedule every card with , the open spaced-repetition algorithm built on the latest forgetting-curve research. Front and back of each card are tracked separately, so “casa → house” and “house → casa” each get their own optimal review schedule.
AI fills in the back of the card
One click on any card generates a mnemonic, an example sentence, audio pronunciation, or an image. Today: plug in your own OpenAI or Google AI key. Soon: a paid plan that includes AI without any setup.
Built for the messy parts of language
Toggle articles (der/die/das, le/la), irregular plurals, and verb conjugations per deck. Presets for Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, and English; custom fields for everything else.
Bring your Anki decks
Export your Anki collection as a .colpkg file, preview the deck and field mapping, and import in about a minute. Your audio, images, and review history come along for the ride. See how import works →
Type the answer. We grade it intelligently.
Answers are typed, not multiple-choice. We do a character-level diff that's tolerant of capitalization and missing diacritics — and shows you exactly what was off, so the correction sticks.
Forecast and stats that are actually useful

How it works
From zero to your first review in three minutes.
Create a deck.
Pick the language you're learning and the language you're learning from. We'll preset the right grammar fields — articles, plurals, conjugations — for the languages we know.
Add words — your way.
Type them, paste a list, or upload a deck file. One click generates audio, an example sentence, a mnemonic, or an image for any card.
Train.
We pick the cards you're about to forget and ask for the answer. Type, see the diff, rate how it felt — repeat until tomorrow.
